Who are we looking for?

Robotics Engineer

We are working on the future by solving parking for self-driving cars, and are looking for a robotics specialist to work on 3D scene reconstruction, object recognition, sensor fusion, localisation, and anything else related to autonomous driving and parking.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Extensive and practical experience with mapping and localization tools and methods such as SLAM, point clouds, sequential Bayesian filtering, etc.
  • Experience working with robotic hardware and data processing, such as LiDAR, Ultrasonic sensors, Computer Vision, etc.
  • Strong software development skills, ideally in C++ and preferably using frameworks such as ROS, PCL, OpenCV, etc.
Front-End Developer/Designer (Contract)

We are looking for a strong front-end developer/designer to work on green-field projects building applications that will be serving the largest automotive companies in the world!

We're looking for:

  • Awesome HTML/CSS skills, angle brackets are your language of choice!
  • Proven JavaScript (not jquery!) expertise including experience with a modern framework, e.g. Angular/React/Ember/etc (we use Reactjs)
  • Strong designer mindset and familiarity with a modern UI/UX design tool (e.g. Sketch/Affinity/Figma/etc)
  • Any experience with writing Google Maps applications a bonus
North America Business Development Manager - Parking

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, self-motivated, energetic business development/sales manager to lead our North American parking business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, developing and managing sales opportunities in the parking sector
  • Representing Parkopedia at industry trade shows
  • Sourcing parking data

Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.

Ideally you will be based in San Diego, CA or Detroit, MI but we will consider qualified candidates elsewhere in the US.

Data Scientist

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing research team. You will be able to expand our data driven approach to parking, using the latest analysis and machine learning methods and tools and utilizing a wide variety of large datasets, including a billion points of geospatial data per day, vehicle sensor data, and imagery.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A thorough understanding of and extensive experience with machine learning including modern techniques like deep learning, Gaussian Processes, and Bayesian inference.
  • Experience with processing and analysing large volumes of data, including big geospatial data.
  • A strong software development background, including Python, Scala, Spark, Cassandra, AWS.
Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer to support our data science team and research infrastructure which is currently responsible for making sense of over a billion data points per day!

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in using and maintaining modern big data frameworks.

    For example we use the likes of Spark, Cassandra, Kineses and a whole bag of other interesting cutting edge products in our platform. If you have experience with these or similar then please read on.
  • A software development background. Scala and Python would be ideal but passion and a proven track record works.
  • A DevOps mentality, someone who is comfortable taking an idea from development all the way to production.
  • Experience with cloud providers, additional brownie points for AWS.
